William Frederick Woody Woodward was born September 23, 1942, in the city called “Magic City” the city of Miami in Florida is a former player and general manager in Major League Baseball. William Frederick Woody Woodward signed to two different teams during his entire career such as the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves (1963–1968) and the Cincinnati Reds (1968–1971), before his professional career started he played for the Florida State University Seminoles for college baseball, this is also his alma mater. An odd incident happened on September 4, 1971 in which a sack of flour of around ten-pound was presumed to be intentionally dropped towards Woody's position from an aircraft that was not found at all. The sack of flour hit the ground at Dodger Stadium and exploded around ten feet in front of the area where he stands at shortstop. The Dodgers reported the incident to the Federal Aviation Administration, but unfortunately there is no aircraft ever reported seen flying above the stadium at the time and there was no suspect ever found by the authority.
