George Willis Hudlin was a former Major League Baseball player who was born on May 23, 1906 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. He played for four different teams in his entire major league career. His first appearance in the league was on August 15, 1926 for the Cleveland Indians. He played as a pitcher for the team from 1926 to 1940. However, reviews say he did not appear for more then ten games for each team that he belonged to. Aside from the Cleveland Indians, he also played for the Washington Senators in 1940 and in that year, he also joined the St. Louis Browns and the New York Giants. HE was one of the few MLB athletes who have appeared for four different teams in just one season. While with the St. Louis Browns, he made his final Major League Baseball appearance on August 31, 1944. Hudlin ended his professional career with a 158-156 record and an ERA of 4.41. In his appearances for all four teams he joined, he made 677 strikeouts and had 2, 613 innings pitched. He was known as the pitcher who gave Babe Ruth his 500th home run. According to reviews, he uses various pitching styles which include a fastball, changeup, curveball and sinker.
