Wilfred Paiement, Jr. formerly played in the National Hockey League from the 1974 to 1988 seasons. Born in Earlton, Ontario, he also represented the Canadian hockey team in the 1977 World Championship. Originally drafted by the Kansas City Scouts in the National Hockey League Amateur Draft in 1974, he spent two great seasons with the parent team before joining the Colorado Rockies with which he spent a few seasons. After his controversial suspension following an encounter with Dennis Polonich, who was a journeyman of the team Detroit Red Wings, he moved to the Toronto Maple Leafs together with Joel Quenneville and Pat Hickey, as well as Lanny McDonald. He appeared for three seasons with the Maple Leafs and then later on joined the Quebec Nordiques. He appeared for the Nordiques for five seasons and then played for the New York Rangers in the next season and appeared in only eight games. He also joined the Buffalo Sabres and spent one season with the team before ending his National Hockey League career. His last team in the National Hockey League was the Pittsburgh Penguins and also became part of the International Hockey League team Muskegon Lumberjacks.
