Wayne Primeau is a National Hockey League player who hails from Scarborough, Ontario. He was born as Wayne Michael Primeau on June 4, 1976. He started his professional hockey career in 1992 after he was chosen to play for the Owen Sound Platers of the Ontario Hockey League. He was a first round selection of the team and stayed with them until the 1995 season. After his successful first rookie seasons in the OHL, he was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League. He joined the team in 1994 and during his initial seasons in the league, he was able to have his first goal in a game against the New Jersey Devils. After his period with the Sabres, he joined the Tampa Bay Lightning for the 2000 season. He spent a year with the Lightning and than joined the Pittsburgh Pirates in the next season. Other teams he played for are the San Jose Sharks which signed him in 2003 and the Boston Bruins which he joined in 2005. After being a part of the Calgary Flames in 2005, he signed with his present team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
