An American Major League Baseball pitcher, Wayne Franklin was born in Wilmington, Delaware on March 9, 1974. His previous teams included Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves. His present baseball team is the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball's York Revolution. With a 1-0, 1 save and a 2.52 earned run average with the Yakima Bears, which was a Los Angeles farm team, Franklin's professional career started. It was in the 1996 amateur draft's 36th round that Franklin was originally drafted. The Los Angeles Dodgers was the team he signed in with on June 8, 1996. In May 1999, the Jackson Senators called him up. After such event, he then put up a 3-0 record with 1.61 ERA and 20 saves.
