Troy Hudson is a retired professional basketball player who was born on March 13, 1976 in Carbondale, Illinois. He played collegiate basketball at University of Missouri and also served as a basketball varsity athlete in Southern Illinois University. Although he posted noteworthy records in his junior college career, he was not drafted in the 1997 NBA Draft but instead went on to play in the Continental Basketball Association. In 1998, he earned a place in the Utah Jazz and had a two-month stint with the team. After playing for the Jazz, he went to join the Los Angeles Clippers with which he spent the 1999-2000 season. According to sources, Hudson started to emerge as a remarkable NBA player when he played for the Orlando Magic. With the team, he made an average of 12 points per game and had 3 assists per game in the 2001-2002 seasons. He was bale to appear in 81 games for the Magic. After what seemed to be a development stint with the Orlando Magic, he shined most in the 2002-2003 seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves. While with the team, he averaged 14.2 points and had 5.7 assists per game average. He earned the nickname “Laker Killer” because of his amazing performance in the postseason when he scored 23.5 pints against the Los Angeles Lakers. He obtained several injuries before the 2005-2007 seasons which affected his performance and was later on traded to the Golden State Warriors.
