Troy Edwards is a professional American football player playing in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1st round, 13 overall pick, of the 1999 NFL Draft along with other wide receivers such as David Boston and Torry Holt. It was also in the same draft where quarterback Donovan McNabb was picked by the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Steelers for three years before being traded to the St. Louis Rams before the 2002 season. He stayed with the Rams for a year and then played the next two years for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also played one season for the Detroit Lions. In his college years, he played for the Louisiana Tech University. He was then at the time the first player to be drafted by the Steelers from the LTU since the Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw.
