Todd Hollandsworth is a retired professional baseball player. Hollandsworth played in the Major League Baseball and occupied the position of outfielder. Hollandsworth, who was born in Dayton, Ohio, became active in the MLB from the mid 1990's all the way to the mid 2000's. Hollandsworth attended Newport High School in Washington and graduated in 1991. Right after graduating, Hollandsworth decided to enter in the 1991 MLB draft and was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Hollandsworth was assigned in the minor league affiliates of the Dodgers for a total of four seasons before he was able to break with the team in the MLB during the 1995 season. In April 25, 1995, Hollandsworth was able to take part in his first ever MLB game. His performance for that season earned him the National League Rookie of the Year award after he became a scoreboard leader in hits, homers, stolen bases, RBI and doubles. Hollandsworth played for the Colorado Rockies and Texas Rangers before landing with the Florida Marlins in the 2003 season. Hollandsworth was with the team when it won the 2003 World Series. Hollandsworth also played for the Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, and Cincinnati Reds before retiring. He spent a total of 12 seasons in the league.
