Scott Rolen Autographs

Steve Rogers is an ex-Major League Baseball pitcher who played his entire career with the Montreal Expos from 1973 until 1985. He is accredited as the most famous pitcher in Montreal history, with an unorthodox pitching style, nearly stumbling with every follow-through. He's noted for averaging 14 wins every season from 1974 to 1985, and hardly missed any game when it was his turn at rotation. Rogers' personal career records were made in 1982. It's been said that Rogers only performed best when the team was not functioning well. Rogers was accused by his former manager, Dick Williams , of not putting effort when the team needed him the most. Sources quote Williams in his book No More Mister Nice Guy saying that he called Rogers a “fraud” for not being a team-player. Other notable achievements of Rogers was a five-time selected player to the All-Stars, three-time top-five in Cy Young Award, and the TSN National Rookie of the Year in 1973. In 1982, he led the National League in ERA's, while leading the League two-times in shutouts. One notable game to mention was in 1981 where Rogers helped the Expos defeat Steve Carlton and the Philadelphia Phillies to win the National League Division Series. He spend 13 years in baseball, and upon retirement, is now residing in West Windsor Township, New Jersey and works at the Major League Baseball Players Association. He retired from the sport because of throwing arm injuries in 1985. For the more serious minded collector, MLB photomints and coins are every a dream to have!
