Ryan Hollins is a professional basketball player and is currently in the Minnesota Timberwolves roster. Hollins was born in Pasadena, California and occupies the center position. Towering with a height of seven feet, Hollins graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles. Hollins went to John Muir High School in his hometown of Pasadena where he played basketball. He was pursued by a number of schools and had originally committed to St. Louis University. However, after the then SLU head coach Lorenzo Romar decided to leave the St. Louis for the University of Washington, Hollins withdrew his letter of intent and decided to enroll in UCLA instead. Hollins was able to play for a total of four seasons in college. While in UCLA, Hollins had a 5.5 point and 4 rebound per game average. His best game came during a 2003 match against Oregon where Hollins was able to score 11 point and rebounds. In the succeeding season, Hollins came up with 21 points during a game against USC. Out of college, Hollins became eligible to enter in the 2006 NBA and signed with the Charlotte Bobcats after he was selected by the team.
