Royal Terence Ivey is a professional basketball player who was born on December 20, 1981 in Harlem, New York. He began playing his sport as a basketball varsity athlete in Benjamin N. Cardozo High School and continued showcasing his basketball skills in University of Texas. While in the said university, he led in number of games started with 126. After his successful career in college, he went to professional basketball after being drafted by the Atlanta Hawks during the 2004 National Basketball Association Draft.
