Pat Garrity, whose original name is Patrick Joseph Garrity was born on August 23, 1976 in the noisy town of Nevada in Las Vegas. He is a former NBA basketball player who played for theOrlando Magic for ten consecutive years. He was picked from the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA draft of 1998. He was traded for Steve Nash to the Phoenix Suns along with Bubba Wells and Martin Müürsepp. His first years on the professional basketball was spent with the Phoenix Suns where he was able to have an average of 5.6 points each game in almost 39 appearances in the NBA lockout fifty game season. After receiving his inaugural campaign, Pat Garrity was traded with Danny Manning for Anfernee Hardaway to the Orlando Magic. He played eighty two games with the Orlando Magic between 1999 and 2000. He had made an average of 8.2 points per game and a 40.1 percent in the shooting. His stellar career ended in the NBA season of 2003 to 2004 due to cartilage damage in his right knee. This injury forced him to have a microfracture surgery. In September 2008, he formally announced his retirement.
