Oscar Reed is a retired professional football player who appeared in the National Football Association. He hails from Jonestown, Mississippi and was born on March 24, 1944. Before he had his stellar career in the National Football League, he played as a running back in Colorado State University . Listed at 6 ft. and 222 lbs., he showed great running back skills as a college football athlete which caught the attention of many football scouts. He was drafted as 167th overall pick in the National Football League Draft in 1968 by the Minnesota Vikings.
