Montrae Holland is a professional football player in the National Football League and is currently playing as a guard for the Dallas Cowboys. Born in Jefferson, Texas, he was recently presented with a key to the city that he grew up in. Montrae decided to attend Florida State University where he played college football. In Florida State, Holland was made into a starter for the varsity team in three seasons. Montrae was able to play in a total of 29 back-to-back games as a starter while still in Florida State. During his last year in college, Holland was named into the All-Conference. Straight out of college, Holland was eligible to enter in the 2003 NFL Draft. During the fourth round of the said draft, Holland was selected by the New Orleans Saints and was able to play for a total of four seasons. During his first year in the league, Holland was able to appear in a total of 16 games as a starter. During the 2007 season, Holland decided to sign a one-year contract with the Denver Broncos. The Denver Broncos decided to trade Holland to the Dallas Cowboys during the 2008 season in exchange for a 2010 NFL Draft fifth round pick.
