Mickey Redmond, born as Michael Edward Redmond on December 27, 1947, is a retired professional National Hockey League player who played in the right wing. He started his National Hockey League career as part of the Montreal Canadiens in 1967. He stayed with the team until the 1971 season and became part of two Stanley Cups victory of the team. He was traded to the Detroit Red Wings in the middle of the 1970 to 1971 season and scored 42 goals for the team. He logged fifty goals in the 1972-1973 seasons which was the seventh in the history of the National Hockey League. He continued to make impressive number of goals in the league and had recorded 21 power play goals which was included in National Hockey League best records. However, his stellar career had to end soon because of a back injury which he sustained in the 1974-1875 season. This made him retire early in from the National Hockey League. His brother, Dick Redmond was also a hockey player in the league. He wrapped up his National Hockey league career after thirteen wonderful seasons. At present, he works as a color analyst in the FSN Detroit. He played as total of 538 games in the National Hockey League and recorded 233 goals in total.
