Matt White formerly played minor professional ice hockey . He is from Brantford, Ontario, Canada and was born on July 28, 1983. He started playing junior hockey for the St. George Dukes of the Ontario Hockey Association Junior Development Hockey League. White did not make it to the Ontario Hockey League entry draft but had an extensive junior ice hockey career, playing for the Burford Bulldogs, Paris Mounties, and the Branford Golden Eagles. He attended the Prospect camp of the Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League and made it to the main camp before he was released from the team in 2002. He returned to Ontario to play for the Tillsonburg Vipers of the Major Hockey League. In 2003, he decided to quit ice hockey for a while and returned to inline hockey. By 2007, White played for the Mohawk Valley IceCats of the North Eastern Hockey League. In 2008, he served as assistant coach for the Dunnville Terriers with his former teammate Jim Cashman. They were replaced in the middle of the season. Throughout his minor league career, White has a record of 69 games played, 33 goals, 40 assists, 73 points, and 157 penalties.
