Met Gamel is a professional baseball player and is presently playing as a third baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers in the Major League Baseball. Gamel attended Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville, Florida and then Chipola College in Marianna. Gamel entered the 2005 Major League Baseball Draft and was picked by the Milwaukee Brewers. Gamel was not able to make his MLB debut until in 2008. During his first season of turning professional, Gamel was sent to play for the Helena Brewers, the affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers in the Rookie League. After that season, he got a promotion and was moved up to the West Virginia Power of the Single-A in 2006 and then the Brevard County Manatees of the High Single-A in the 2007. The 2008 season saw Gamel play for the Huntsville Stars of the Double A and then the Nashville Sounds of the Triple-A in August that year. Gamel was selected to play in the All-Star Futures Game and was dubbed as “the next Ryan Braun”. After rosters expanded in September 2008, Gamel was called up and was able to make his first career hit against Chris Young in a match against the San Diego Padres.
