Over 18 seasons, he started 6 games, won 71 games, struck out 1251 batters, and had a 3.03 ERA. Born on December 4, 1957 in Jamestown, LA, Smith stands 6' 5 and weighs 220 lb. He attended Castor (Castor, LA) high school and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 2nd round of the 1975 amateur draft.
