Kris Nathan Humphries is a National Basketball player who was born on February 6, 1985 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He started playing for basketball teams in high school when he attended Hopkins High School and established a 25-2 record in 2002. He was named to the McDonald's All-American team and to the Super 25 Basketball Team by USA Today. He finished his high school career with 25.7 PPG average, 5.0 assists, and 11.4 RPG average. He went to University of Minnesota despite of a scholarship offer to play for the Duke University basketball team. He quickly established his name in Minnesota and was named as the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2004. He led the Big Ten in scoring and has set various school records for his struggling team. In 2004, he joined the National Basketball Association as a 14th pick by the Utah Jazz in that year's NBA Draft. He had a two-season stint with the Jazz before transferring to Toronto Raptors. While with the Raptors, he showcased his rebounding skills which impressed many fans and was used in the team's first ever division title. He also played for the Dallas Mavericks and the New Jersey Nets. He recorded career high points in a game with the Nets with 25 points.
