He played for the Cubs from 1937 - 1939, Phillies from 1939 - 1940, Dodgers from 1941 - 1947, Pirates from 1947 - 1949 and Giants from 1949 - 1950. Over 12 seasons, he started 238 games, won 118 games, struck out 971 batters, and had a 3.69 ERA. Born on April 8, 1915 in Columbia, SC (All Transactions), Higbe stood 5' 11 and weighed 190 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on October 3, 1937 and he played his final game on July 7, 1950. Over his career, Higbe made $32,500.
