Ken Wharram is a retired Canadian pro ice hockey player who hails from Ferris, Ontario, Canada. Wharram served in both the National Hockey League and the American hockey League playing as right wingerfor the Chicago Black Hawks and the Buffalo Bisons. Wharram is notable for winning the Stanley Cup in 1961. Before beginning his career in the National Hockey League, Wharram made some few stints in the small leagues playing for his hometown team the North Bay Black Hawks in 1949 playing for only one season and then switched in the next season to the Galt Black Hawks. Wharram played for only a single game with the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1951 seasons before joining back to Galt to play for another season. After the 1952 season with Galt, Wharram joined the Chicago once more and played for twenty nine matches during the 1953–54 seasons at which during that same season, Wharram also made some stint in the Quebec Aces in the Quebec Hockey League before joining the Buffalo Bisons of the in 1954. Until the arrival of his then teammate, Stan Mikita , Wharram seemed to struggle on the Hawks to find his spot. Mikita and Wharram fit well together and Wharram's production soared. After he was diagnosed with myocarditis in 1969, Wharram officially retired in September 1970.
