Jean Paul Parise is a former professional ice hockey player who was also known by the nickname “Jeep”. Before starting his professional hockey career in the National Hockey League, he played first in a number of junior hockey leagues and some minor leagues. He began playing hockey for those leagues when he was just a teen and had his first league as the Ontario Hockey Association. According to reviews, Parise was not a remarkable player in the junior leagues but with his persistence and determination, he achieved great performances in the Central Professional Hockey League where he improves in terms of scoring and number of games appeared in. His first season in the National Hockey League was with the Boston Bruins but did not played full time. He was then acquired by the Oakland Seals and not long after was sent to the American Hockey League team Rochester Americans. After his period of stay in the AHL, he joined the Minnesota North Stars. This time, he achieved the popularity he has long been working for and was named to two All-Star Games and made a season record of 75 points with 27 goals in the team. Thereafter, he appeared in more games and became a member of the Canadian team that competed in the 1972 Summit Series.
