Joshua David Willingham was born in Florence, Alabama and is presently the left-fielder for the Washington Nationals of the Major League Baseball. He was famously known as “The Hammer” and went to college at the University of North Alabama. He was the selected by the Florida Marlins in the 17th round of the amateur draft in 2000. He played well at the early stage of his career and made his MLB debut with the Marlins on July 16, 2004. After several games with the Marlins, he rose into the major leagues by regularly playing as a catcher for the Marlins in 2006. Willingham became the 13th MLB player to hit 2 Grand Slams in the same game. He is also the 7th in MLB season to accomplish this in back to back innings on July 27, 2009.
