He played for the Angels from 1968 - 1973, Rangers from 1973 - 1975, White Sox from 1976 - 1977, Yankees from 1978 - 1981 and Athletics from 1981 - 1982. Over 15 seasons, he played 1553 games, hit 146 home runs, drove in 541 runs, and stole 11 bases. Born on July 30, 1946 in Hanover, PA, Spencer stood 6' 2 and weighed 195 lb. He attended Andover (Glen Burnie, MD) high school and was drafted by the California Angels in the 1st round (11th pick) of the 1965 amateur draft. His debut was on September 7, 1968 and he played his final game on June 20, 1982. Over his career, Spencer made $179,000.
