Formerly playing in the National Basketball Association is American professional basketball player Howard Eisley. He was playing for the Boston College Eagles basketball team before being drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 1994 NBA Draft. He was the 30th overall pick in the draft. Eisley played for well known teams during his playing career. From the Timberwolves, he was acquired by the San Antonio Spurs in 1995. He then played for the Utah Jazz from 1996-2000 and also in 2005, for the Dallas Mavericks in 2001, New York Knicks from 2002-2004, Phoenix Suns in 2004 and for the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets and Chicago Bulls in 2006. Eisley was at the center of controversy during the 1998 NBA Finals where he was playing for the Jazz against the Bulls. He made a 3-point shot during the first half of the game which was mistakenly disallowed by the referee although replays clearly showed that the ball was released before the shot clock expired.
