Gerald Floyd Williams is a former outfielder in the Major League Baseball. He batted and threw right-handed and spent his college career at the Grambling State University. After college, he was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 14th round 366th overall of the amateur draft in 1987. He made an intriguing record in the New York-Penn League for Oneonta in 1988. Playing successfully in the said league, he was rewarded with a promotion to High-A ball but he was injured. He started playing for Milwaukee Brewers when he was traded by the Yankees in 1996. Though slightly injured, he made a record in his games with the Brewers. After 2 years, he moved to the Atlanta Braves where he spent another 2 years thriving as a semi-regular player in Atlanta and played opposed to his former team which is the Yankees in the 1999 World Series. Growing and getting better in the game, his finest season came when he was with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Because of his timeless efforts, he was named as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays player of the year in 2000. He chose to go back to the Yankees in 2001-2002 and then moved to the Florida Marlins in 2003. He last played for the New York Mets in 2005. Accordingly, he was a National League pennant in 1999 and recorded 85 home runs and 106 stolen bases, with a .255 batting average.
