Forrest Gregg is a retired offensive tackle in the National Football League. As a professional football, Gregg signed with the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys. He was also a coach in the NFL after he retired from playing. Gregg enrolled in the Southern Methodist University and played college football for the institution. Gregg was picked by the Green Bay Packers during the second round of the 1956 NFL Draft and was the 20th overall pick. From 1956 to 1970, Gregg served as a reliable member of the Packers team that won two Super Bowls and five NFL Championships. Gregg was there during the 1961, 1962, 1965 NFL Championships, and the Super Bowl I and II. When he signed with the Dallas Cowboys in 1971, he was with the Cowboys team that won the Super Bowl VI. Gregg was named into nine consecutive Pro Bowl selections—from 1959 to 1968. He was also selected to be part of the Associated Press First-team All-Pro for seven instances—1960, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1967 and 1968. In 1959, he was named to the Second-team. He was named to the NFL 1960's All-Decade Team and the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team. As coach, Gregg was able to work with the Shreveport Pirates, SMU Mustangs, Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals, Toronto Argonauts and the Cleveland Browns.
