Eric C. Williams was born in Newark, New Jersey who had played as a small forward for the National Basketball Association. He played college basketball at the Providence College . Williams began his career in basketball when he was drafted by the Bolton Celtics with the 14th pick in the NBA Draft in 1995. He stayed with the team for 2 years and was afterwards traded to the Denver Nuggets. During his games with the team, he had anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. He was later traded back to the Boston Celtics then to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He signed as a free agent with the New Jersey Nets in August 6, 2004. He was then sent to the Toronto Raptors along with other team mates for Vince Carter. Williams recorded an average of 8.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. In 2005, he launched his own line of clothing said to honor the non- existent Negro Basketball League. On June 2006, he was sent to the San Antonio Spurs. He was eventually sent to the Charlotte Bobcats and was finally released by the Bobcats on March the same year.
