He was a former MLB player and now, he is a coach in the Minor League Baseball in the organization of the Philadelphia Phillies. As a player, he started playing at the Canyon High School and he was drafted on June 1, 1995 by the Detroit Tigers . Unfortunately, he did not accept the offer as he attends college at the UCLA. In UCLA, he made a very promising career with his team mated Troy Glaus and Eric Brynes. They are the main reason why UCLA reached the college world series in the year 1997. He also made astonishing sixty nine home runs in Pac-10 history. He was hailed as the 1998 Pac-10 player of the year. On June 2008, he was picked by the Philadelphia Phillies in the supplemental draft of that season. His first major game though was with the Cincinnati Reds before he was traded to the New York Mets in another draft. He also played for the Japanese baseball league with the team Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles in the Pacific League. During his entire career, he made a record of .234 hits, thirteen home runs and 36 RBI in a total of 205 games. In December 2008, he became the hitting coach for the Williamsport Crosscutters, a team that belongs to the Philadelphia Phillies organization. In the year 2009, he was given a scouting position.
