About Eric Desjardins: Eric Desjardins (full name: Eric Desjardins; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1989 until 2006 for the Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers. He played for the Canadies from 1989 - 1994 and Flyers from 1999 - 2006. Over 17 seasons, he played 1143 games, scored 136 goals, and made 439 assists. Born in Rouyn, Quebec on June 14, 1969, Desjardins stands 6-1 and weighs 205 lbs. He was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2nd round (38th overall) of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. Desjardins officially announced retirement on August 10, 2006.
