He played for the Astros from 1979 - 1982, Mets from 1983 - 1986, Dodgers from 1987 - 1988, Red Sox from 1989 - 1990 and Braves in 1991. Over 13 seasons, he played 883 games, hit 30 home runs, drove in 208 runs, and stole 12 bases. Born on July 3, 1957 in San Antonio, TX, Heep stands 5' 11 and weighs 185 lb. He attended high school and was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 2nd round of the 1978 amateur draft. His debut was on August 31, 1979 and he played his final game on June 8, 1991.
