Danny Ainge Autographs

A former professional basketball and baseball player, Danny Ainge has played in NBA for the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns. Talented in many sports, Ainge was born in March 17, 1959 in Eugene, Oregon. He started off as a good player in high school football and led Eugene High School to back-to-back state basketball championships in 1976-1977. He has earned all-state honors for both years of showcasing his skills and strength. He played basketball at Brigham Young University and was also chosen in baseball's 1977 amateur draft by Toronto. In 1981, Ainge was chosen in the 1981 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics after he received the John R. Wooden Award as college basketball player of the year. He became an important player of the team that won the NBA title in 1984 and 1986. In 1989, Ainge was traded to the Sacramento Kings with Joe Kleine. Year after that, he was then traded again but this time to the Portland Trail Blazers. He helped the team in reaching the 1992 NBA finals. He retired in basketball after the 1994-1995 NBA seasons. While he was still a player of the Suns, he opened a national chain of hat stores and had volunteered in numerous charitable organizations. This goes to show that though he is not in the sport anymore, he still has many things to do. Now, he is the Executive Director of Basketball Operations for the Celtics.
