Craig Neil Erickson is a former professional American football quarterback who played in the National Football League. He attended the University of Miami where he was the starting quarterback on the 1989 National Championship team. He ranked third on the Hurricanes all-time career passing-yardage list with 6,056 yards and played 34 games over his four-year career. He is a holder of the 1990 Johnny Unitas Award, following Tony Rice who got the award in 1989. The 2009 JU award was given to Colt McCoy. Erickson was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 5th round of the 1991 NFL Draft. He was the only quarterback listed in the draft. In the 4th round of the 1992 NFL Draft, he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is one of the very few players in the NFL to be drafted twice. His last professional team was the Chicago Bears in 1999.
