A retired American football player that played as a defensive tackle, Chris Zorich , was born in Chicago on March 13, 1969. He attended the Vocational High School in Chicago. Upon entering college, Zorich was able to receive a scholarship in the University of Notre Dame to play football. In 1987, in his first year in the university, Chris Zorich received multiple accolades. The award also included the two All- American titles in the season of 1990 and 1991. In 1990, Zorich was named as a Lombardi Awardees and was the Most Valuable Player in the Orange Bowl in the season of 1991. Chris Zorich was drafted in 1991 season by the Chicago Bears. He played with the team for 5 seasons, from 1991 up until 1996. While playing with the team, Chris Zorich was named alternate for the 1993 season Pro Bowl. Zorich was able to play with the Washington Redskins for one season in 1997. His career in the National Football League was able to tally a record of 16.5 career quarterback sacks that was able to score for one touchdown off a fumble. After his retirement, he was able to establish a foundation that supports and gives assistance to the disadvantage families in the Chicago area. It was named the Christopher Zorich Foundation that was established in 1993. Because of it, he was known not just a dynamic football player but as a philanthropist.
