Charlie Frye is a professional football player in the NFL. He is currently the quarterback for the Oakland Raiders. He has been playing football since he was in high school. Frye attended Willard High School in Ohio and was under the tutelage of Chris Hawkins. He was able to set 17 school records and was named the Northwest District Player of the Year. Frye entered the University of Akron and was able to set more records. However, he had to redshirt his freshman year. However, he became the starting quarterback during his sophomore year and was able to lead his team to the 2005 Super Bowl where he won the MVP award. He was selected by the Cleveland Browns during the 2005 NFL Draft. His first game was with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was able to make two touchdowns and had a 136.7 passer rating setting a Browns rookie record. Frye was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in 2007 and then to the Oakland Raiders in 2009. He became the starting quarterback for the Raiders in December of that year. By the end of that season, he was able to post 581 yards passing, one touchdown, 4 interceptions and a 65.3 QB rating.
