Joseph Jean- Paul Robert Rousseau formerly played professional ice hockey in the National Hockey League. He is from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and was born on July 26, 1940. Ata young age, he already showed amazing ice hockey skills, winning the Quebec Junior Hockey League scoring title and the Memorial Cup champion with his team, the Hull- Ottawa Candiens. Rousseau started his professional ice hockey career with the Montreal Candiens and won the Calder Trophy in 1962. He was part of the Montreal team that won the 1965 Stanley Cup against the Chicago Black Hawks . He had 3 more Stanley Cup titles with Montreal; one in 1966 against the Detroit Red Wings, another in 1968 against the St. Louis Blues, and another in 1969 against the St. Louis Blues again. He also won the silver medal in the 1960 World Olympics for Team Canada when they played in the finals against Team United States. After his feat with the Montreal Canadiens, he also spent some time playing for the Minnesota North Stars and the New York Rangers , and also with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
