Barry Foote Autographs

Barry Foote is a retired Major League Baseball player who played from 1973 to 1982. He became a catcher for the Montreal Expos, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, and the New York Yankees throughout his career. Foote's professional career jumpstarted when he was picked by the Montreal Expos during the 1970 Major League Baseball Draft. However, it would only be on 1973 when Foote would be able to make his debut in the MLB. It was during a game against the Philadelphia Phillies at the Parc Jarry. The Expos won that game with a 2-3 score in favor of the Expos. In 1974, Foote was selected to play in the Topps All-Star Rookie team and was placed in that year's Topps All-Star Rookie Roster. He was later traded to the Phillies in June 1977 and, in 1979, was traded to Chicago Cubs. In a game against the Cardinals, Foote was able to post an 8 runs batted in and a grand slam that would eventually make the Cubs win that match. Foote was traded to the New York Yankees in 1981 and played during the 1981 World Series. He was released by the Yankees in 1983 spring training with the catcher opting to retire.
