Anthony Peeler is a retired professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association and is currently serving as an assistant coach for the Virginia Union University basketball team. Peeler was a shooting guard in the NBA and played the longest time for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Peeler went to Paseo High School in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. While in high school, Peeler excelled in playing basketball. During his last year in Paseo High, Peeler was selected into the McDonald's All-American team. Peeler went on to play basketball in the University of Missouri. He was able to come up with a 16.8 point-per-game average in Missouri and was selected into the All-Big-Eight, and was named as an All-American. After playing in college, Peeler decided to enter the 1992 NBA draft. He was selected during the first round of the draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. He was able to play for the Lakers until the 1996 season when he decided to play for the Vancouver Grizzlies. Peeler also played for the Minnesota Timberwolves – from the 1998 season down to the 2003 season. In 2003, Peeler played for the Sacramento Kings and then for the Washington Wizards in 2004.
